How do you start something? Don’t you need to plan and hypothesize and brainstorm and do all that cool knowledge worker stuff? I’ve been doing this for far too long. The hurdle that everyone seems to get is simply afraid to waste time and effort – but it isn’t about the final product, its the steps taken to get there. That experience alone is invaluable! This all seems like common sense. Then again, so does one of Steve McConnell’s books, and more often than not its in hindsight one realizes their mistakes.
Time to be a do-er.
